My Experience with 3 Day REFRESH

As a fitness enthusiast and health advocate, I am skeptical to participate in extreme cleanses that render you tired, groggy, and downright cranky.  I need to B able to do my job as Barre instructor and personal trainer with zest & pizazz (though some of my Barre Beauties may wish I had less energy than I do).  :-)  But I definitely think it’s great to give our bodies a rest from the many toxins we consume.   From sodium overload to alcohol.  Let’s not forget SUGAR-my personal nemesis.

I had heard great things about the 3 Day REFRESH and had clients asking me if I would recommend it.  I don’t like to put my name behind something unless I have tried it personally.  So I eagerly purchased the REFRESH kit, excited to give it a whirl.  It didn’t take very long to arrive, but when it came, I was feeling overwhelmed with all I had on my plate (possibly literally, huh?!) and set it to the side to wait until I was ready to give it my full attention.

Weeks passed and my clients started asking again.  I finally decided just to open the box and see what was in store.  If I had known HOW EASY this program is to follow, I would have opened it on day #1!  Seriously, I didn’t even need to go to the grocery because I had everything needed!  The REFRESH is SIMPLE to follow, and the simplest version looks like this:

BREAKFAST: SHAKEOLOGY SHAKE + FRUIT                                                IMG_8796

AM SNACK: FIBER SWEEP DRINK

LUNCH: VANILLA FRESH SHAKE + VEGGIE + HEALTHY FAT

PM SNACK:  VEGGIE + HEALTHY FAT

DINNER: VANILLA FRESH SHAKE + CHOICE FROM DINNER RECIPES

Additionally, you have options to add tea and broth.  And DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!

The information booklet provided  is very precise and tells you exactly which fruits, veggies, & healthy fats are allowed and the SERVING SIZE.  PAY ATTENTION TO SERVING SIZE!  That was probably the hardest part for me-small portions and I WAS STILL HUNGRY!!!  At least day #1.  Day #1 I felt like I could eat another human.  (Don’t worry, I’d never do that!!!)   Day #2 -a small animal (again, KIDDING!!)  Day #3  I was feeling pretty well adjusted and really enjoying how I felt.  I really ENJOYED the BREAKFAST, LUNCH, & DINNER!!  LOVED ALL of the SHAKES!!  The Fiber Sweep isn’t really a LOVE item, but I didn’t think it was horrible.  Just mixed and drank it quickly.

These shakes and whole foods are designed to help CLEAN OUT YOUR DIGESTIVE SYSTEM, but I was NOT MARRIED TO THE TOILET!!  I never once felt nervous about bathrooming.  Just went a few extra times each day.

All in all, by the end of the 3 days I had:

LOST WEIGHT , FELT TIGHTER IN MY MIDSECTION (oh, hello abs, where have you been hiding?!? ;-), REALIZED I WAS EATING WAAAAAY MORE FOOD THAN I TRULY NEED ON A REGULAR BASIS, & felt a NEW SENSE OF DISCIPLINE towards eating.

And you want to know what I ate for breakfast the 1st day after my 3 Day REFRESH ended?!?  THE SAME THING I DID ON THE REFRESH!!!  SHAKEOLOGY + FRUIT!!!  I truly enjoyed this 3 Day program and would definitely do it again.  I wish they sold the vanilla fresh protein shake separately because I really found it to B tasty & refreshing.

That’s my take on the 3 day REFRESH.  I hope it helps to give you some insight.  Of course, we are all different and have unique taste buds, so what I like you may not.  As I often say in my classes:
